Uncover an another ancient jar site in the South Cardamom Mountain Range

Trapeang Roung: An another attraction sitelately uncovered amongst the South Cardamom’s natural resources is marked on a map by Trapeang Roung Community Based Eco- Tourism.
The site was asserted it is an ancient jar spot. It is located in 2009 by a research team aiming at developing the eco tourist area.
‘It is 67 Kilometers based on GPS far from Trapeang Roung downtown by Areng river or jungle trail.’   Regarding the ancient jars, said Kun Savuth, the chief of Trapeang Roung Community Based Eco-Tourism
Phen Den a member of research team also leased ‘we set the ancient jar site on our eco tourism map. It is also attractive if we compare to the ancient jar site of Chi Phat CBET.’
 ‘There are only 5 ancient jars at this rare site, but there are more jars in our tourism land’ He expected.
This jar site has yet to be experimented from any expert archeologists but Chi Phat ancient jars.   However these jars are marked as ancient jars because they are really identical to ancient jars of Chi Phat.
‘There lived the Khmer rouge in the 1980s and 1990s, but they had never seen them.’, said a man who was a former Khmer rouge guerrilla.
Most jars are broken and tucked on the ground at the flank of the mountain about 40 meters high. It located in the mountain slope above Areng Rever end where the river joins 3 junctions. This spot called O’ Chek Dei, for it has 2 kinds of landform, black and brown.
