This rapid bed is the basin where the sliding water is
stored during the rainy season. It is called Thmor Dach waterfall. In Cambodian
language it is called Thmar Dach, but in English it means; hole in the rock.
This hole has happened because of seasonal water erosion. This rapid bed is
full of water from May until October. But in the dry season there is no water.
This site was found in 2008 by a research team from the
Community Based Eco tourism project in Trapeang Roung. It is a good camping
place for hunters and Rong rasin collectors. There is no other name for this
rapid and the waterfall. It is named by CBET. It is given its name because of
the specific location of the holes where the water starts falling down in the
middle of a dangerious peak in the floor.
The hole is getting deeper and deeper because the water
floats through it every day.
This rapid bed is 10 meters wide. If you walk
along this waterfal there is another waterfall. This one is called the waterfal
of Teanh Vor ( hold tight the creeper). Right there, we can go down into the
valley or climb up to the top of the water slide, hold on tight to the creeper.
In this area there are many kinds of medicinal plants such as the elephant lung
also known as ant nest plant.
